Face lipofilling in Turkey
As we age, the skin loses its elasticity and it’s tissues start to sag giving you a very bad look, this loss of volume accentuates the aging effect and can make you appear older than you really are.
Traditionally, the first two factors were always corrected by lifting, while the loss of volume is corrected by facial lipofilling in Turkey, which is the transfer of autologous fat cells by injection.
In Turkey, fat treatment techniques have evolved rapidly over the past few years, making this technique one of the most effective, safe and therefore popular methods for restoring volume and contour.
During a face lipofilling, the fat is obtained by classic liposuction, which is an additional advantage.

How to prepare for a facial lipofilling?
As with any surgery, the facial lipofilling procedure in Turkey begins with a consultation, the doctor will explain to you the risks as well as the results that he can expect following the intervention.
Certain precautions must be taken before the procedure, it is advisable to quit smoking for at least 4 months before the surgery and it is also strictly forbidden to smoke on the day of surgery, smoking causes postoperative hematomas and deviations in wound healing.
It mainly reduces the resilience to inflammation of the pus of the nose, throat and lungs, and therefore increases the risks associated with anesthesia.
Avoid consuming alcohol during the 48 hours before the operation because the mixture of this substance with certain drugs is very dangerous.
The preoperative consultation is also used to identify tissue donor regions during the operation.
What happens during the facial lipofilling procedure?
Facial lipofilling is done under local anesthesia accompanied by sedation or general, it lasts from 1h to 2h, this choice depends mainly on the patient’s state of health.
The fat is removed by conventional liposuction most often from the belly.
The obtained tissues are filtered in a saline solution and purified from blood and other impurities.
The enrichment of the tissue in stem cells is not systematic since the results obtained without enrichment are very convincing.
The other reason is that the effects of stem cell enrichment are still subject to clinical research.
After liposuction and purification, fat cells are injected below the dermis at different depths of the muscle.
The instrument used for the injection is a round-tipped cannula to reduce the risk of edema, the operation lasts between one and two hours and is performed in the operating room.
What happens after the facial lipofilling procedure?
After the operation the patient should wear bandages for 5 days and rest for a week, any sporting activity is strongly discouraged the two weeks preceding the operation. Antibiotics are prescribed for the first 4 days, after this period the bandages are changed and a control consultation is carried out.
Facial lipofilling is considered a low-risk procedure. However, facial cosmetic surgery is not an exact science.
In a small number of cases where the patient and the surgeon are not completely satisfied, a touch-up operation may be necessary.
Especially since a certain volume of the injected fat will be naturally absorbed by the patient’s metabolism.
Lipofilling scars will be minimal and in most cases not noticeable. These are indeed the scars of liposuction and not lipofilling.
As lipofilling uses the patient’s fatty tissue, no allergic reaction will be caused.
What are the results of a facial lipofilling in Turkey?
The fat is injected into the patient’s face, this is performed in the malar or cheek region, the area below the malar bones, in the temples, and in the nasolabial folds and lip areas.
The first results reveal that facial lipofilling in Turkey not only adds volume to the face permanently, but also improves the overall quality of the skin.
At this point, we are unsure of the mechanism of action, but there appears to be a stem cell-like effect resulting in rejuvenation of the quality of the overlying skin.
